Standard double nine domino sets today include 55 pieces, each of which consists of a line dividing it into two squares and a number of spots (or ‘pips’) in each square end. Double nines have ends ranging from zero to nine spots. Domino tiles are similar to playing cards in some respects, as many different games can be played with a set.
